FREDDY ADU WANTS SPAIN TRANSFER

Freddy Adu is likely on his way out of Benfica with Spain a possible destination.
Monaco and Benfica outcast Freddy Adu could be on his way to Spain. The talented youngster was on loan with France's Monaco, but the Principality club decided not to purchase the 20-year-old. Back with Benfica, Adu looks set to be on the move yet again.

"Just got good news from my agent about possible destinations," Adu said via his Twitter account. "I'm hoping for Spain because I like the style of play a lot."

Adu first moved from Major League Soccer two years ago to Portugal, but has yet to carve out a place for himself in Europe. The attacker is currently with the U.S. national team in South Africa for the Confederations Cup.
